Synopsis
Bridget Matthews, a one-time successful author, who now has settled into her boring thirty- something life, has her world rocked when a Haboob, or desert storm, brings her characters including Uri Petrovich, her famous graphic novel villain, to life. Uri, an insane scientist, is after a formula created by Bridget in her novel series that will animate other graphic novel villains. Charlie Havens, her novel's protagonist, joins her in her battle. Charlie, suave but comically self- centered, is a classic swashbuckler hero. Charlie, however, has his own dark secrets. These dark secrets will turn Bridget's world upside down as they race against time to stop Uri.
The pilot ends with Bridget being trapped in her own graphic novel with Uri after being double-crossed by Charlie. Therefore, her story would continue as she attempts to get out of her own novel, and stop Charlie from releasing all graphic novel villains.
